IDAHO STATE PRESIDENTS PROJECT 2024-2025
My name is Rayne W, and my State Project is Blankets of Comfort with Luggage of Love.
This is a two-part project. Idaho C.A.R. members are asked to pick out fun and soft fabric and with the help from a Sr. Leader create blankets to be given to the YWCA in Lewiston, ID. Blankets can be hand- or machine- sewn, crocheted, knitted, woven, etc.
If members are unable to make blankets, no problem! The second part to this project is donating gently-used back packs, luggage, tote bags, etc. to the foster care system in the C.A.R. member's area. Often when kids in foster care are informed they are being moved, they receive a garbage bag to pack their belongings.
Statistics show that where there is domestic violence, there is a high probability of child abuse.
